Dedication of the Good Shepard School

Since 2008 Dürr Technik is sponsoring the construction of a school in Marripadu Village. Children of the Dalit-caste are being educated in this school.

Meanwhile the first construction section of the new school building has been finished and celebrated with a great dedication party. At present 60 pupils are being taught. As most of the residents of this village are analphabetics, it is focused to give these children the chance of schooling. A “Self Help Group” has also been established by this school supporting the development of the community. The village people are being trained to act economically, enabling them for example to pay back their micro credits. Health programmes for children as well as medical facilities are one of the further plannings.
